6 Qs for Yogi Lang of RPWL
My favorite performance at Summer's End this year was German proggers RPWL. Yogi Lang answers my 6 Qs this time.
Who are your musical influences?
hard to say... I think you are always influenced by the music you grew up with. for my person this was the music of the 70ties: genesis, pink floyd but also bands like the residents, snakefinger...
What has RPWL been up to lately?
we worked on our solo albums. kalle and chris released their works already and I nearly finished my album. after that we are going to start producing new rpwl stuff this year.
What's your favorite song to perform live?
I like playing all the stuff... but most fun is the prog song ;-)
How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?
the music has been strongly influenced by the band. in the beginning it was some kind of project. now it's a band with its own life.
If you could play a concert with a band of your choice, who would it be?
rpwl
What's your favorite board game?
board game? hahaha... chess and settlers of catan!
RPWL's excellent live CD/DVD, The RPWL LIVE Experience, is available through their website. I can highly recommend it. It has been on continuous loop in my car stereo since Summer's End. Courtesy to the RPWLtv channel on youtube I bring you my favorite track from the album.
